Using the InDesign Palettes


The most important palettes are outlined here

transform palette

Transform Palette

   The first palette is the transform palette, which displays information about the item currently selected such as its position, size, proportion, tilt, and slant, and allows simple changes to it.

character palette

Character Palette

   This is the character palette. It displays information about currently selected text such as its font, font style, point size, line and letter spacing, horizontal and vertical scale, baseline shift and slant.

paragraph palette

Paragraph Palette

   This is the paragraph palette. It displays information about the active paragraph such as text alignment, left and right offset spacing, first line indent, spacing above and below the paragraph, and drop characters leading into the paragraph.

Palettes that are used together can be placed in the same box by dragging their tabs into another palette.
